Beacon College basketball standout Jared Carter has been lighting up the court this season, and his efforts have not gone unnoticed. The 6’5” guard from Sparta, Tennessee, was named the New South Athletic Conference (NSAC) Player of the Week, recognizing his stellar performance in the Blazers’ recent games.
Known for his sharpshooting, Carter has become a name opponents dread hearing called out. With a 48.8% success rate from beyond the arc, he’s one of the most reliable three-point shooters in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). Among players with at least 40 attempts, he ranks 4th nationally—a testament to his precision and consistency.
Carter’s offensive contributions don’t stop at long-range shooting. Averaging 20.9 points per game, he’s the second-leading scorer among Division I players, trailing only teammate Ernesto Hichez.
Carter’s standout moment of the week came during the Blazers’ thrilling 99-91 upset over #8-ranked Atlantis. Scoring an impressive 34 points, Carter powered the team to its first NSAC victory of the season. His clutch performance on Friday night not only secured the win but also solidified his status as one of the top players in the conference.
Congratulations to Jared Carter for earning the NSAC Player of the Week honors! He is an asset to the Blazers and we can’t wait to see what he accomplishes next.
